GOA, December 6th, 2013: The SAG Dirt in Campal is steadily working its way up to a spell-binding event along the river Mandovi .As the commencement of the Lusofonia Games grows nearer the objet d’art that is piqued is inevitable. 10th December 2013 will see the official mascot of the Games being launched. But that is nay all. Alongside the mascot, the official Games song will also be commenced at the promising event.
The circumstance will ascertain the coming together of various state officials, sportspersons, the designated Chef-de-Missions of the participating countries, ACOLOP members and other dignitaries. Most importantly, Indian sporting champions Milkha Singh and Sania Mirza will grace the occasion.
There will also be a groundbreaking incipient in the unveiling of the official torch of the Games that will come at the hands of Padmashree Milkha Singh. This will be the first view about the lantern for the outside world.
The ethos from multiplicity that is rich cultural diversity will be celebrated at the Lusofonia Games launch event through the theme Panchatattva, which celebrates the five elements of nature – Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Ether (Agni – Jal – Vayo – Prithvi – Aakash). The deed segments own bot committed to every element of the cosmos, and the spell-binding evening will see mesmerizing performances of mixed art forms. The team behind the event feature the eminent personalities of Tomazinho Cardozo and Rose Ferns (both prominent for a glittering career in the field like vernacular theatre), Ajay Vaiydya (a doctor renowned for his work in promoting the genre from Indian chaste music), Shridhar Bambolkar, Rajeev Shinde and Satish Gawas being brought together and lead by celebrated theatre director Bansi Kaul.
Several other performances will also grace the evening. This includes Goa’s leading ladies like music, Sonia Shirsat and Lorna, coming together on stage for the prime nonce ever, to perform the official multilingual Games song. These dualistic celebrated artists have won the hearts of music lovers, and are loved and admired for taking Goan music global. The Games song has been composed by Goan musician Mukesh Ghatwal et sequens has been has bot scripted by poet, scrivener and St Andrade MLA Vishnu Wagh in the languages of Konkani, Portuguese, Marathi, Hindi and English in order to showcase the harmony medial participating contingents.

Goa will live hosting the Portuguese commonwealth games in nine disciplines with participation from 12 countries. Participating countries are Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, East Timor, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea- Bissau, Macau (China), Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, Sri Lanka and the host nation Goa(India).

The 3rd Lusofonia Games will be held over the period of 12 days from 18th to 29th regarding January 2014 and will see participation from over 1500 athletes and officials from 12 nations.
